Symmetry (n.) A compositional technique where elements on one side of an image mirror those on the other side. In mobile photography, symmetry can create visually striking and balanced images. It’s often found in architecture, reflections, or carefully arranged scenes. Many smartphone cameras offer grid overlays to help align symmetric compositions. While perfect symmetry can be visually appealing, slight asymmetry can add interest and prevent an image from feeling too static.
